7ème
(Recorded June - October 1979 in the USA.
Released in October 1979.)

Tout une vie sans te voir: Second single release.  A very emotional song
which fully justifies it position as the opener.  A moving love song which
is so true to life, and instantly recognisable as one of Véro's songs.

Je suis la seule:  Another beautiful song is the same vein as the previous
song.  It's about being a victim of infidelity - something that hits everyone
sooner or later.  A fantastic "finale" to this song.

Ma révérence: Single release "avant-première", i.e. released before the
album.  A slow ballad, but again very captivating.  A song which kinda
asks what's love all about.

Si je danse pour toi:  Second "B" side.  This is the song which
"converted" me to Véronique Sanson.  In fact it's the opener of the first
album that I bought - L'Olympia 1985.  It's lively and it works!

Lerida (dans la ville de): Third single release.  You actually don't hear
Véronique in this one, except that she plays the piano.  Actually, when
the music is this good, who needs lyrics?  I have got the Electra single
copy which says "paroles et musique de Véronique Sanson"!  Sorry,
but I've no idea how this one got it's name.

Celui qui n'essai pas: First single release.  Things are moving with this
track which has a good "disco" feel to it.  Great when played live too.

Mi-Maître, mi-esclave: First "B" side.  Véro's writing character really
comes across to magnificent effect.  Three different tunes blended into
one song:  "Oh non..." and the "Quand on a personne..." sections
are beautiful!

Maso: Third "B" side.  This one has got a great beat and moves well.
The chorus has a great feel for a good singsong.  Some clever changes
in tempo, and always very much alive.

Salsa:  Probably the best dance track on the album.  No - it does not
refer to onion & tomato sauce!

Pour celle que j'aime:  The goodbye track on 7ème returns to classic
Véronique style.  Of course, a long song, beautifully executed.  It leaves
you in hope for another day!

The single release of "Ma révérence" contains the song "Fais-moi une mélodie" as the
"B" side which does not appear on the album.
