POUR ME COMPRENDRE:
Enter Véro in 1999, Paul Buckmaster's troops and Hervé Le Duc.
Véro appropriately carries this opening number through with her
dominating, and faultless vocal performance. "To understand me,
you must know who I am" she sings... understand this song, and
you understand this album!

LE PARADIS BLANC
Beep Beep... now it's time for the Paradis Blanc! For nearly
everyone, this song presented a first listen to the amazing Hervé Le
Duc/Paul Buckmaster mix. With the original version of "Paradis
Blanc" being so familiar, you can really hear on this version how
strongly Véro holds onto her notes. It's incredible how many
people (and not especially Véro fans) who have heard this on the
radio and said how much they love Véro's interpretation.

SI TU T'EN VAS
For this one, I prefer to sit down to follow (and dream!).
Beautiful orchestral backing is very conspicuous. My prediction
for a favourite at the concerts next year!
Melody:

LUMIERE DU JOUR
The most relaxing of all the tracks on the album. Again the
tranquility comes over perfectly secure in the knowledge of orchestral
solidity. A soother!

CHANSON POUR UNE FAN
My piano makes songs for you... and this song is about music: the
music is right there ringing out from the backing tracks. You
can hardly fault this song at all, but for some reason it just won't
stick in my head!
Melody:
5, Lyrics: 4, Véro: 5, Production: 5
L'UN SANS L'AUTRE
This song arrives in all of its splendour and so beautifully in its
chorus. Lyrically, especially during the top half of the
song, this track is a prize!
Melody:

DIEGO, LIBRE DANS SA TETE
One of the most catchy, well known, and an instant hit. Indeed,
Véro hits the mood perfectly - builds to a captivating climax into a
guitar solo, which itself is an event! Someone recently
wrote to me: "He sure lets you know that it's Dawayne Bailey on
guitar". At first I thought it was too mixed down, but now
I like it like that.
Melody:

LES PRINCES DES VILLES
This song has really been built from it's strong production and
Etienne Daho's vocals backing those of Véros on the chorus. I
like the arrangements, because even with the crowd mixed in at the
song's climax, it does not sound cluttered. Nice guitar too!

JE REVIENS DE LOIN
Here begins the "beautiful melody" section of the album!
The lyrics on this one undoubtably make me emotionally fragile!
But the song passes by so quickly... but not before bringing a tear to
your eye!
Melody:
5, Lyrics: 5, Véro: 5, Production: 4
PEUT-ETRE TOI, PEUT-ETRE MOI
For me this song has the most magnetic melody of all. Véro here
brings us her finest vocal performance on the album. In
addition, the orchestral arrangements make this song breathe.
It's alive, and it's going to be a killer! One that deserves to be
extended live!
Melody:
5, Lyrics: 5, Véro: 5, Production: 5
L'AMOUR EST LA
The final song of my favourite back-to-back grouping. To follow
the previous song takes some doing, but this song stands up markedly
to the test. This track also gives the album a timely little
jolt of energy, with some very nice effects in the song's interlude.
Melody:
5, Lyrics: 4, Véro: 4, Production: 5
ATTENDS MOI
In complete contrast to "L'amour est là", but the chorus of
this song is worth living for! Véro is singing at her zenith
again... especially I love how she sings "Demain ce sera peut-être"...
magic words can't describe!
Melody:
4, Lyrics: 4, Véro: 4, Production: 4
LA MINUTE DE SILENCE
A perfect choice to end the album. I think that lyrically this
song will strike a chord in "quand on est deux" romantic
nights. A tempo of respect, and a minute of silence for the
song's creator!
Melody:
